Maple, Ermington
Award winning project and two happy families. This modern architectural design consisted of a duplex each with: five bedrooms; two and half bathrooms; split level formal and informal living spaces; and outdoor entertaining and recreational areas.
Challenges
The site itself doesn’t fit the typical duplex specifications. This created significant challenges during the planning and design stages. A number of meetings were held with council, resulting in compromises made on both sides to allow the project to proceed.
Without the persistence and perseverance of Newmark and their ability to find solutions to all the problems the project faced the project would never have been approved by Council.
Industry Feedback
The project was the winner of an Excellence in Housing Awards 2012 by the Master Builders Association.
This is a significant third party endorsement, given the experience and knowledge of the master builders who judge the awards, and the calibre of the competition, by the building industry’s peak body.
